Have you heard about Lilly’s Open Innovation Drug Discovery Program, whereby small biotechs can access Lilly’s Phenotypic and a some target based biological screens for FREE? Learn more at https://openinnovation.lilly.com/dd/ Also, contact me and I can provide you with an executive summary of the project.
Thanks, Sharon. We will follow up with you.
Hello,
Your reagent is obviously stoichometric in copper. This is not good. Do you have plans/ideas on how to make it catalytic in copper with a different CF3 donating reagent?
Thanks
Alastair, we are considering opportunities to make the reaction catalytic. The reagent can also be generated in situ and used immediately. For now, the convenience of a shelf-stable reagent that reacts quickly at near ambient conditions is a big advantage. In addition, the broad compatibility with most other chemical functionality offers a good option for late-stage trifluoromethylation, something that is difficult to do using other methods.
